  1. I’ve heard great things about Gideon Smith but don’t know too much about the other, until I google it in a minute of course.

Especially as Sarah M, is raving about it here.

  2. They sound interesting. It would be interesting to compare these to others in the same genre. Bring it on!

  3. Love the genre. There are a few really good books out there now and more on the way. Check out Gibson’s The Difference Engine or Hodder’s Burton & Swinbourne series or Priest’s Clockwork Century series or Bemis’ Clockwork Dark.

  4. Been gaining interest in alternative histories and Steampunk seems to be the next big thing in alternative history storytelling. Thank you for this potential opportunity to broaden my reading spectrum!

  5. I unfortunately only have one steampunk title on my shelf … and I have three bookcases. These look interesting, though.

  6. I’ve looked at Gideon Smith several times, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I think I’ll have to if I don’t get picked here.

  7. Post Victorian-era, wild west, industrialized worlds with retro-futuristic weaponry and gadgets. What’s not to like?

  8. These two titles have some fascinating plotlines/characters. Half human coyote sidekick; assasins; failed US independence; Victorian England…curious to see how the authors manage.

  9. Wonder what’s in the cards for Six-Gun Tarot… Steampunk makes for fabulous titles. I’d love to read them both.

  10. I’ve been thinking about getting into the steampunk genre, and these look like they’d be a great introduction.
