Tor_logoa New York Comic Con 2017 is coming up October 5-8! Come catch up with Tor Books and Tor.com Publishing there at Booth #2136.

We’re having a daily raffle on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. for swag from V.E. Schwab’s Shades of Magic series, alongside a photo booth with props and a new character standee to get a photo with every day! There will also be a running sweepstakes through the weekend for an ARC of Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson.

What people wear and how they wear it can say multitudes about the society in which they live. Panelists break down what makes fashion fantastical and how they find inspiration in the real world to clothe the denizens of their imaginary realms. Featuring V.E. Schwab (Shades of Magic series)

8:45 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Two Decades with Feeling – A 20th Anniversary Celebration (Hudson Mercantile)
Join the authors of Tor Books’ Slayers & Vampires, the definitive new oral history of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel, Edward Gross & Mark A. Altman (co-authors of The Fifty-Year Mission), as they re-open the Hellmouth and look back at the secret history of the slayer who saved the world a lot. They reflect on the untold secrets of Buffy The Vampire as well as what the future might hold for Slayage in the 21st century. Also, revisiting the under-appreciated genius of Angel and the Buffy’s that never were in a candid and insightful look back at Sunnydale circa 1997.
