Featuring authors Jennifer K. Lambert (Never the Roses), Evan Leikam (Anji Kills a King), Marie Lu (Red City), Serra Swift (Kill the Beast), Moses Ose Utomi (The Memory of the Ogisi), and moderator Christina Orlando (senior editor, Reactor Mag).

Once Upon a Romantasy

DESCRIPTION: Unless you’ve been under a literary rock, there is a good chance you’ve heard the term “romantasy”—a cross between romance and fantasy. This genre continues to dominate BookTok, bestseller lists, and word-of-mouth across a passionate readership worldwide. Ever wonder why? Sarah Beth Durst (The Enchanted Greenhouse), Axie Oh (The Floating World), C. L. Herman (A Fate So Cold), and I. V. Marie (Immortal Consequences) take a deep dive into the rise of romantasy and a discussion about the staying power of the genre, from authors who themselves are releasing new books in 2025. Step Into the Fantasy Audiobook Booth

DESCRIPTION: Great audiobooks can transport listeners right into a fantastical sonic tapestry of an author’s story. How do authors choose the right voice to narrate their words? What are some of the ways authors develop the sound design and musical elements of an audiobook program? Does narrating their own work change the way they experience their story? Get an inside look with authors Charlie Jane Anders (Lessons in Magic and Disaster), Amal El-Mohtar (The River Has Roots), and Cassandra Khaw (The Library at Hellebore) on the making of their audiobooks. Moderated by audiobook narrator Natalie Naudus.

  1. A question on the Tor Booth Signings: for these specific signings will the book be provided free, or is it a signature with purchase of that title? Can you please clarify?

  2. Great overview of the panels — looks like a packed schedule. Any chance the Tor booth will have extra copies of the galleys after signings, or are those strictly limited to initial drops? Also curious if there’s a recommended order to attend panels to avoid clashes.
