Contestants include Seanan McGuire (Down Among the Sticks and Bones), Gail Carriger (Imprudence: The Custard Protocol #2), Sam Sykes (An Affinity for Steel), Jason Hough(Injection Burn), Brandon Mull (Death Weavers: Five Kingdoms Book 4), and Sarah Beth Durst (The Reluctant Queen).

Holmberg (The Paper Magician), Robin Hobb (The Fitz and the Fool trilogy), Christopher Paolini (The Official Eragon Coloring Book), James A. Owen (StarchildDawn of the Dragons), Erika Lewis (Game of Shadows), and Michael Johnston (Soleri) discuss building fantasy worlds with backstabbing, shadowy plots, shocking secrets, and surprise inheritances with Petra Mayer of NPR.
